300 Rise of an empire movie review :Destroyer of expectations.

It is a 300 rise of an empire review and it is the second part of 300. Which is based on the Xerxes by Frank Miller novel. The direction was done by Noam Murro. The main leads were Themistocles played by Suvillain Stephen and Artemisia played by Eva Green.  At the beginning of the scene where Leonidas is killed by Xerxes

In the story a new character was introduced, his name was Themestokles, and he was an Athenian soldier who killed Darius, the father of Xerxes, This happened before 300 soldiers died, Xerxes got no chill and tried to capture the whole of Greece but here another character introduce Artemesia who was very trustworthy of Darius, not because she was sassy but yeah she was brave and very clever

300 rise of an empire review

So in the movie acting of Themistokles who is played is not so impressive he looks like a constipated face, a kid who looks very confused all the time, The build-up of the movie was not as great as we talked about in the previous movie 300. The build-up of the movie was great. The slow motion was great but not the best.

The problem in this movie is that Themistokles is a hero and doesn’t have a backstory to connect, but the writer gives Artemisia a backstory. And it looks like the artemisia had a more important role in this, not Themistocles. The story build-up of the film was quite disappointing, the dialogues were good but not as impressive as 300 part 1st. The Xerxes here in this movie played a second-lead villain.

The cinematography of this film is different, the theme of the movie is very greyish and the blood representation is very different from the previous one. The CGI in this movie is goodIn this movie, the sea war was very illogical to me because in the previous one, the land war happened, and the extra monstrous creature was also missing, which looked less interesting.

In the scene where all the soldiers of Xerxes move forward on the land and the side, all 300 soldiers are lying dead In the scene where the viewer can easily be confused about which soldiers are going where? Xerxes said Ephilates to give a message that I am coming for him but till the end of the movie, there is no confrontation between them.

The climax scene was nice, Queen Gorgo came to avenge all the Greek soldiers, and it was twisted.  In this movie the humorous element is absent and the movie flows very seriously. In the movie, the director and writer try to make Artemisia a savage and sassy villain which is very good for the film.

“Yes, my brother, I am Greek by birth. And I have Greek blood running through my veins but my heart is Persian” She cut the throat, pulled the cut face with hair, and threw it away. The scene was as savage as she looks.

so for me, the movie was not that good, the expectations were high, but not so bad . It was 7/10. This movie is an R-rated movie. Only 18+ can watch this and you can watch this movie on many platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV.
