ATLAS movie review : Worst villain of the year goes to Simu Liu.

In this movie, the lead actors are Jennifer Lopez and Simu Liu. Jennifer Lopez who plays Atlas Shepherd is a hero in this movie and Simu Liu (who played Shang Chi in Marvel movies) plays a villain character. This movie is a galaxy-spanning adventure written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Coelite. And directed by Brad Peyton.

The AI threat Halan Shepherd who is an AI Bot plays a villain and he is called in this movie “An AI terrorist”. He escaped from Earth after causing destruction and became hidden for 28 years.

In the movie, they planned a mission to capture him alive but somehow the plan failed, and ATLAS (Jennifer Lopez) fought with the help of a (computer-programmed Bot) partner named Smith (voice given by Georgy James Cohan) and protected Earth from AI threat.

So I found this movie not so bad, the ATLAS and Smith bonding was nice, and I like the way that the writing of a bot character is very frank somehow, and some jokes were there. The emotional bonding between them was very great. The acting of Jennifer Lopez is not that great. In some portions, the exaggeration was going on but in the climax scene, she was good.

Simu Liu who played a villain (Halan). Honestly, I don’t like his acting in this movie. And first of all, The writer didn’t give him a chance to show his part. The villain part was very small and the lines of the villain were very small.  And he played worst willian of the year The whole focus was on Jennifer Lopez which I don’t find that much good. ATLAS a worst villain casting can be shown in movie 

Spoiler alert:

 There were some good scenes when Atlas found out that her leg bone was broken. Smith tried to fix her bone, and after fixing that he offered her a protein cube lollipop Which was very cute and will make you laugh, As I was laughing at that time.

Another was when she found an attractive and unique plant on another planet and Smith asked what name you would give to these plants because you are the first human who discovered these and she named them “Planty”. I laughed so hard at this.

I love the way the writer wrote these small good funny scenes which were very impactful for lightening the mood. There were emotional scenes like when she remembered her mother and her past, when Smith said I will protect you.

I found the climax scene very good, and the fighting scenes were good. Jennifer Lopez and Simu Liu did a great job in this.

The symbolization of winning when she dropped the king piece of chess when Shalan died was a very nice shot, and another shot of the rising sun, the symbolization of starting a new chapter was remarkable. I kind of liked it. I would say the director did a good job in the climax.

In the end, you can feel the rage, sadness, humor, happiness, and feeling of a new beginning.  So finally I will rate this movie 7/10 if you like Universal Adventure or sci-fi films. Another sci-fi films you can read about is Interstellar. This is for you, and if you like Jennifer Lopez of course this is for you haha. So yeah this is one time watching a movie for me.
